Sir,

In reference to your letter No. 3191/02/C.S.O. dated 31st January 1903 on the subject of land at Stonecutters, proposed to be acquired by the War Dept. for the extension of the R.A. barracks I have the honour, by direction of His Excellency the Major General Commanding the Troops, to inform you that His Excellency agrees to recommend to the War Office the acceptance of the conditions set forth in the first para thereof.

2. With regard to para. 2 of your letter; I am also directed to state that para. 4 of the War Office letter of 15th November 1902 was referred to. As the Ordinance, however, as it stands, seems quite satisfactory a reply to that effect will be given to para. 7 of the above War Office letter

3. His Excellency will be very pleased to notify the recommendation contained in para. 8 of your letter for the acceptance of the Secretary of State for War

4. It is requested that you will kindly return, at your earliest convenience, the plan which accompanied my letter No. 2245/3K, of 31st December 1902; there being no copy of it available, and one is now required to accompany a report from His Excellency the General to the War Office.
